Me and Neil have both been approached by our bosses a while back, about people mentioning that they see us together at work a lot. They mentioned that even though we have a relationship with each other we should stay professional on the job. We thought we were, up until the days our bosses talked to us. Needless to say it upset us a bit, and we were a bit perplexed. We wondered who would be saying that we're spending too much time together and being too chummy. Heck we hardly spend any time together at work, unless we are doing the same thing or it's a slow day, or I'm asking him something. Honestly I barely see him, and I really try to stay professional.
We had a hunch this would happen, but it didn't stop us and still hasn't. So we're a bit more careful now. You know, about where we make out, or who we make out in front of LOL... Yea right! But recently, and actually during the last show, Neil's boss (one of the managers at Tradex, Vali) had said to us on a couple occasions when she saw us together, that we need to separate, and that we are spending too much time together. The first time, I was like okay, and walked away. The second time we dug in our heels a little, and said, "but it's business!" And it's that time that it got me a bit upset, not at Vali but at the situation. Both of us were upset, and were like "what we can't talk business now? How are we supposed to do our job? We have to communicate!" We thought it was ridiculous, after all we were clearly out in the open discussing work, my boss who has a couple of feet away could overhear us. A bit later, as I was taking a break in the staff room, I was even debating to myself about quitting.... If it everybody was going to be this picky and drive me absolutely insane... It wasn't worth putting up with. Neil walked in a bit later, because he knew I was upset... He mentioned that he'd talk to Vali about it, that relaxed me a bit because I knew she'd understand. After Neil had talked to Vali, he came back to me and told me the verdict. SHE WAS KIDDING! She said she just liked saying that because the both of us go beat red and she just walks away giggling to herself. Boy did I feel stupid for getting upset, after I knew she was just kidding I was much more relaxed and I thought it was all funny. Maybe next time I'll be prepared On a good note though, I was talking to one of the security guards who had just recently discovered that me and Neil were an item. She said she would have never guessed because we keep everything so professional around each other. That was awesome to hear, let me tell you. But why does it almost always have to be from co-workers that you hear positive things about your work performance... And mainly negative "you better shape up" " this has to change" kind of things from higher ups?   | Wednesday, April 19, 2006 If you've ever looked for laptop bags you know that you can only see to buy them in black... and your lucky to even find one that's black with a trim of colour... usually blue green, rarely yellow. But you can never find a laptop bag that's colourful, or pink for that matter. At least you can't find them in local stores like Future shop, london drugs, best buy, walmart, a&b, staples...Well I found one! I was so excited. Course I found it before I started looking, so after I discovered they don't sell pink laptop bags, I just hoped that ebay still had it. And they did, I had to bid against one other person. It costed me about the same as any other black laptop bag. But mine's pink.... it arrived yesturday, but I wasn't home to get it, so it should be coming back today sometime. I can't wait :)   | Tuesday, April 18, 2006
So I was leaving my Chiropractor's office, and just as I was getting in my car, and starting it up a cab pulled up right behind me. There was an empty stall right beside me, but no he didn't seem to want to pull into it... he wantd to stay on the side of the road... right behind me. So I honked my horn.... he ignored me.... there's no way he could have missed me.... it's not like my car runs quietly. He just got out of his cab and started talking on his phone wandering around. What an idiot! So I didn't want to wait for him, and good thing there's no little median things in front of the stall.... and good thing I have a small car. I had to manuver around, pull diagonally into the empty stall beside me and just barely manuver behind the stupid cab.... I only had about an inch on either side of my car.
  | Sunday, April 16, 2006It may be wee but it does the job... slowly. It's only about 2 inches tall, and an inch and a half wide. But I think Neil would rather use it then not have cheese on his chili macaroni. But I think after using it for a while you might get a cramped hand... it'd be awful to have to use it to make something like nachos. It didn't take him long to buy a cheese grator after using the tiniest cheese grater.   | Friday, April 14, 2006![]() Here's Jimmy riding around on his new Wheely shoes.... I know, I know, it's hard to tell if he's rolling, it almost looks like he's just walking. He doesn't seem to wear them that much, but I think he's planning on secretly mastering the art of riding on wheelies o that he can show off his new tricks They're gonna have to make this an olympic sport   | Thursday, April 13, 2006Wednesday, April 12, 2006![]() So guess what Neil did at work.... Got free food. A "Grocery Show" just finished, and they left behind a wack of free food. SO now the fridge is packed with all sorts of stuff, but mostly juice. And some cottage cheese and fruit stuff that I don;t think I'll ever be brave enough to try. Anybody know if you can freeze cheese? I know you can freeze Mozza cheese, but can you freeze marble or cheddar cheese?   | Tuesday, April 11, 2006
since I've done anything in Javascript
So I don't really remember all that much of it, and I'm having trouble figuring out the select boxes. Guess i'll have to look at some old work i've done But what i'm trying to do is... make it so that when an option is selected in a drop down box it writes something in a textbox. Now because there's more than one option, I figured I'd have to do it as a function in the head tag. than i thought well maybe it's an if/then statement....but it's not working Here's what I did... function something(){ if(document.sue.12.value='1'){document.sue.code.value='some words';} } with this in the select tag: ONCHANGE="something();"   | Sunday, April 09, 2006 ask Mel to draw the circulatory system for you and then let me finish it off... it's a mean cockroach. but none of them seem to work
:-) confused? me too.... For the past few hours, and yesturday, I've been trying to put together this flyer type thing for the Gotta Be Kiddin show at Tradex (April 21-23, 2006). Except I can't get it so that eveything is on eone page and yet still readable sized lettering. I got the floorplan side of the paper, but the other side of the paper is the entertainment schedule. There's quite a bit of enterainment over the 3 days, and I cannot get it all one an 8.5x11" piece of paper, or even a legal sized paper. So I resorted to emailingmy boss to ask if I can make it so it just has the schedule for one day. we'll see what he says. If I had it my way, i'd like to make the floorplan on a double sided piece of 8.5x11" paper. and the schedules in a brochure type setting on maybe a legal piece of paper....hey maybe i'll do that up and email it to my boss to see what he says. Anybody else have any suggestions?   | Friday, April 07, 2006
So Neil says that I don't have a "look" I have a "tone."
The other day we were in a store and the clerk wasn't sure how much the product was that I was buying. Neil was behind me looking at something else, so I turned around and asked him if he'd get the price label/tag for it. Later he asked me if I had called and asked him to get the tag more than once, I didn't, so he told me that I had a "tone." A sound of immediacy in my voice that he apparently respons to right away, almost out of fear :-)   | Thursday, April 06, 2006Wednesday, April 05, 2006
Okay so does anybody know why microsoft word will not work on my new laptop?
I swear i've installed it and uninstalled it a few dozen times... nothing The other programs with word work (powerpoint, excell...) but word itself will not work. It will only open in safe mode. I don't understand what's wrong. Neil thinks it's because it's a pirated version and maybe newer computer have somethingthat blocks pirated versions. But that doesn't make sense because why do the other programs work then? I thought maybe there was a word update or something that i need? I'm in my school library right now, so I can't really explain what it's doing. But it gives me a sort of error message, sayingthat the last time i tried to open word it made an error, and it wants me to send an error report. HELP   | Tuesday, April 04, 2006

"There is an old legend connected with Simon of Cyrene, the man forced by the Romans to carry Jesus' cross to Calvary (Mark 15:21). Legend has it that Simon was an egg merchant, and when he returned from seeing the Crucifixion, he found that all the eggs in his produce basket had miraculously turned a variety of bright colors. In an alternate version of teh story, his eggs did not take on their beautiful coloring until the day of Christ's resurrection - Easter, that is.

An acrostic poem.
A poem in which the first letter of each line, taken together, forms a recognizable pattern. Freedom/Salvery Forgiveness you have given me          Still I remain distracted by the world Righteous you have called me          Lord my life pales in comparison Eternal life is your promised reward          And yet why do I fear Everlasting, Unconditional love you bestow on me          Vast amounts of doubt enstrangle me Deliverer, Redeemer of my soul          Every breath feels like fire in my lungs Omnipotent arms wrapped around me          Rest flees from my weary soul Merciful Father you have always been          Yet I'm stuck between the world and heaven   |
